Bride of the Water God: Episode 08

WaterGod08-00041

This story is all about CEO Hoo Ye for the majority of the episode as it was revealed that he is a Half-God that the High Priest was referring to (on my previous post, I mentioned that my guess was he was one of the Minor Gods, I guess I was wrong). And their element was indeed Fire (as seen on the previous episode). But this episode does have it’s share of showing off how cheesy Habaek and So-Ah can be.

WaterGod08-00103

For CEO Hoo Ye, at this point I feel pity for his character. From the start of the show he was seen as a CEO of a successful company who wants to give something back to everyone (especially for the blind girl, who is quite frankly the blind girl from the first episode also. Is this blind girl really a human? or part of the Realm of the Gods who sought refuge at the human world also?). He had a painful past in the Realm of the Gods that led him to being thrown out of that world. You can’t blame the guy, but thanks to that person who adopted him, He was able to live as a human properly. The question now is why does he have the mark of Joo Dong and the Land Kingdom? This leads to various theories, either he tells the truth that he hasn’t seen Joo Dong or he was the one responsible for Joo Dong’s disappearance that leads to a bigger and darker plot on seeking revenge at the Realm of the Gods.

We get to see a new love team in the form of Yeom Mi and Nam Soo Ri (yes, you read that right). Apparently Yeom Mi seems to have a crush on Nam Soo Ri after they bumped into each other a couple of episodes ago. Is this going to be like Sunny and Grim Reaper? I hope so 🙂

The one thing that is similar between Habaek and Kim Shin (Goblin) is that they are afraid of zombies! I think I would still go with Kim Shin in pulling off this scene as it was more naturally funny compared how Habaek pulled it off. Poor So-Ah as she has to cover her ears from Habaek’s helpless screams at the roller coaster.

What will happen to So-Ah if she already knew that Habaek will leave her someday? Is this the fate that she will have all along?. We will have to tune in to find out.

Bride of the Water God: Episode 07

This episode shows more revelations, confessions, and SECRETS!

WaterGod07-00146

Apparently this episode revealed tons of secrets as to why Habaek lost his powers. It so happened that it involves a lot of Minor Gods in the mix. In addition it was Moo Ra who ordered Geol Rin to leave a mark on Habaek, which proves the theory that Moo Ra was jealous of the woman named as “Shin”, the woman who was able to live in the Realm of the Gods. One-sided love for both Moo Ra and Bi-Ryeum who seems to be concerned over Moo Ra when that person was brought into topic.

WaterGod07-00078

And my theory proved right as CEO Hoo Ye is not really a human but a God as well (I would assume that he is a Minor God). One proof was when he cleared a bug on the blind girls arm and it went on flames. The second one was when Habaek approached him at the final scene and told him that he was caught. What is CEO Hoo Ye’s intention? Is he the reason why Joo Dong is missing all this time?

On a side note, I really like how Habaek is getting jealous on this episode. It’s fun to watch So-Ah feel guilty for selling her land to CEO Hoo Ye.

This episode revealed that CEO Hoo Ye is interested in So-Ah on a personal level. At this time I have no idea if this is also part of his plan or this is something out of his playbook.

On the preview it shows that Hoo Ye’s ability is greater than Habaek. What kind of abilities does he have? Is it a fire element which was seen on the burnt bug on this episode? We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

What do you think Hoo Ye’s powers are? just leave a comment on this blog entry. Thanks for reading and I do hope you enjoy this drama like I do.

Man to Man episode 5

This episode focused more on Seul woo wooing Do ha not only to complete his mission but also to find out his real feelings for her. The episode had a lot of swoonable and funnymoments between the couple.

I love the quotesthat Seul woo says in every episode. One of the usual things he says is that “Love is a useful deceit and tactic to a secret agent.” Seul woo kissed do ha and she later said she stole the kiss and she should stay one meter away from her all the time.

Seul woo was speaking to the prosecutor about Do ha not being beautiful. His reaction was hilarious and i realize that he probably said so coz he couldnt believe that he would actually fall in love with a not so pretty girl.

Seul woo calling her up so early in thr morning to greet her then..

That cute hi gesture he made to Do ha the later during the day

And Do ha telling him to stay one meter away from her

During the shooting and they were extras in the scene and Seul woo romantically draped his jacket over her shoulders

Un gwang put two and two together and met up with Seul woo. So cute that he actually roots for the pair. And what he said below was funny! Plus the scene where they were feeding each other. Seul woo’s face is priceless.

Seul woo spent the next day not talking to Doha (i guess guys also know that manipulative move lol). When the prosecutor asked why Seul woo made a good point and said that “Dating is about reactions. It varies by the person and situation.”

And his reaction when Doha texted him to meet. Haha so adorable he probably was starting to fall to her and was acting cute naturally.

And after a whole day of tryin gto capture the ghost agent who is after the wood carvings (and failing to do so)  Seul woo took her on a date watching thr night skyline as she earlier mentioned that she wanted to do. There doha couldnt resist and kissed him. And Seul woo was saying ohno. He is falling in love..

Lastly when he took her home, her dad was waiting outside (prosecutor pulled some strings to get him out) and the dad embraced him so tightly that he had to remind himself that he is Agent K badass and have to stay focus in his mission.
On a side note the ghost agent that ran away went instead to Seungjae’s side instead of the old guy who wanted to take Seung jae down. The NIS director remembers hin as one of their own  who left for money instead of country.

Lastly below are some collections of Seul woo’s many reactions. I  love how Park Haejin is so expressive.

Bride of the Water God: Episode 06

More questions have been answered on this episode. It tackles how the servant thing started and we get to know more about Bi-Ryeum and Moo Ra. We get to see more sweet moments from Habaek and So-Ah

WaterGod06-00514

So it was finally revealed that the God Stones were missing (well, Moora’s God Stone that is…) Thanks to a senseless fight between Moo Ra and Bi-Ryeum. What I am curious about is the other God “Joo-Dong” who went out to find Moo Ra’s God stone but went missing. My guess is that CEO Hu-Ye is Joo-Dong himself unless they would reserve that role for Kang Haneul who was announced that he will do a cameo for this drama. We get to see a side of Bi-Ryeum being jealous as he was reaching out his hand for help to Moo Ra but was ignored. In addition, Bi-Ryeum was far more vicious in treating servants 12,000 years ago.

WaterGod06-00366

Speaking of servants, It was revealed that the reason why So-Ah’s descendant is a servant was due to a woman was attacked and was thrown at the water. She was able to live a good life in the Water Country before becoming ill and worried about her blind father. She was allowed to go home but ended up falling in love with the king of her country and got married. This action was seen as a betrayal by the Gods after what they did for that woman. When So-Ah asked if the name of that woman was Shim Chung, Habaek gets more infuriated. I guess that Habaek fell in love with Shim Chung and felt betrayed when he found out that Shim Chung married the king from her country. It does make sense now when Moo Ra was first introduced in the series and how she told Habaek about the pain and suffering in the past.

WaterGod06-00519

Habaek’s character is changing when it comes to So-Ah. We get lesser comedic antics from Habaek yet he becomes more and more concerned for So-Ah.

The final scene shows that So-Ah was struck by a truck. Habaek was unable use his powers to save So-Ah this time. Was the High Priest from the Water Country correct when he mentioned that So-Ah will die before Habaek returns as the new emperor? We will have to wait until next week for the answers.
