Review
Yay i love the Rainbow Taxi Squad!! Their teamwork, their disguises and cases were so cool. Esp love the invincible Kim Dogi.

My favorite cases were the voice phishing with Madame and the high school bully with Choi Hyun Wook and Lee Min Jae. All the other cases were almost connected with the main storyline of the female villain. I also loved and cried at Go Eun’s sister’s story.

Kang Hana could have been smarter and faster when investigating. Most of the time she needed clues from the Rainbow Taxi. Maybe if she worked earlier with them plus the detective team, they could have caught more suspects! And  maybe Minho didn’t have to die. His death was the most shocking part of the drama and I was also crying when I watched Hana cry for him.

Hana just had a debate with Dogi that she doesn’t understand how the victims feel until she experienced it first-hand. And even went to Dogi for help.

The Udata episode and the twins went a bit too long, this could have been done in 14 episodes or less. They even added a last minute twist in the last 2 eps about Kim Dogi’s mom’s real killer.

More than the cases, the story was about justice through the system or justice at the hands of a few people. Sometimes courts take too long and the law doesnt appropriately punish the perpretrators. Who will defend the victim and family? But i also liked what one of the bad guys said to Dogi, why is your revenge justified but mine isnt?

Im ready for season 2!! Hoping for Dogi x Goeun romance please!!

Distributor: CJ Entertainment
Country: South Korea

Main Cast
Lee Je Hoon – Kang Dong Gu
Shin Hye Sun – Curator Yoon
Jo Woo Jin – Doctor Johns
Lim Won Hee – Sabdari

Review:
The movie is about a grave robber trying to attempt a big heist in the middle of Seoul.

I liked the first part but the second part dragged a bit. Mostly because there were too many characters to follow. There were also more action in the first part. The comedy also fell flat sometimes. I like the twist at the end where they showed how they successfully pulled off the heist.

Review:
My last but not the least completed drama for 2020. I binge watched this for 2 days. Terrific acting from Junsang and Jehoon. Loved their relationship from strangers to family. I also loved the dad and Geuru’s relationship, especially the last episode where we find out how they first met and I was crying.

Jehoon also did a great job portraying the bad but actually nice Sanggu. I was just distracted by his ugly hair and perfect nose. Lol. But I though the reason why Jeongwoo did not come back for Sanggu when he was younger was too cliche to move me (or maybe because there has been so many dramas about the department store collapse).

I read a lot of reviews on how much they loved this drama so I was slightly disappointed that the stories weren’t as moving as I expected. Maybe it’s because there’s very little story about the life of the deceased to mourn for them. Still every death is sad. Another Kdrama, Chocolate (2019), also dealt with death, and that one had me crying every single episode, unlike this one.

My favorite episodes are with the doctor and the cellist; and Matthew Green. Also the tragic friendship between Sanggu and Sucheol. I also like the potential romance between the social worker played by Choi Soo Young and Sang Gu.

I also liked Namu. She is a sweet and loyal friend to Geuru. She had more chemistry with Sanggu than Geuru though. I loved that she will do anything to protect her friend and keep him from harm.

I wouldn’t mind if there is a season 2.

Review
It was friday night, I didn’t feel like watching a drama so I was looking for a light hearted comedy movie and saw this in VIU. I had zero idea what the story would be but I clicked play. I was expecting to laugh a lot, but instead I was crying a lot (esp in the second half).

I thought this movie was just about a fussy old lady and an orphan civil servant becoming like family, but it was more than that. The first half was fun as we get to know both characters and I loved the scenes where Min Jae taught Ok Boon how to speak in English in fun ways, like playing chinese checkers or going to the bar to talk to foreigners. I also admired Ok Boon for being able to pick up English quite easily.

The second half turned serious as we get to the real reason why Ok Boon wanted to learn English. I’m not going to reveal the reason in case some people don’t want to be spoiled but the reason was heartbreaking. I was weeping especially when it was time for Ok Boon to speak in front of everyone. And I loved that Min Jae was there with her and now considered her as family.

I liked the ending – before the neighbors taught she was a busybody, but now after understanding her, she was now considered as the friendly neighborhood grandma.
